Our mission is to create a global platform that connects women to opportunities, networks, businesses and expertise that empowers them.

 

Since 1999, we have worked closely with some of the biggest names in business, creating innovative events and programmes designed to help women achieve their individual aspirations – which also helps companies to achieve much-needed diversity in leadership and the wider business community.

 

Our high profile clients include HSBC, Yorkshire Water, Sage UK, United Utilities and Hitachi Rail who trust us to deliver bespoke female friendly programmes to complement other initiatives; catering to their female staff, customers and suppliers.

Our CEO GRISELDA TOGOBO

FL is led by Griselda Togobo who began her career as an electrical engineer, she then veered into business having been influenced by the challenges and successes that her parents experienced as entrepreneurs.

 

She trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with one of the BIG 4 professional services firms but now runs her own businesses, FL included.

 

Griselda is a mother of two beautiful children. She is extremely passionate about positively impacting the future of women and girls in the workforce. Griselda joined FL as a member and was hooked.

 

Griselda offers a fresh approach to diversity in leadership development and was recently named as one of the Top 100 ‘Yorkshire’s Leading Women’.

 

An accomplished business keynote speaker and business consultant, you will see Griselda presenting across the globe at events and conferences, hosting and taking part in panel discussions and undertaking media interviews.

Sahar Hashemi

Founder of Coffee Republic

In 1995 Sahar Hashemi founded Coffee Republic, and built it into one of the UK’s most recognised high street brands with a turnover of £30m. Giving up a job as a lawyer in London, she staked everything on a dream – and made Coffee Republic one of the main players in the ‘coffee revolution’ that transformed a nation of tea drinkers into one obsessed with ‘triple half-caf lattes’.

Bill Henry

Independent Executive Coach

In 2015 Bill retired as a partner of PwC where he led the Risk Assurance practice for the North of England. Having also been a partner coach in the firm he now operates as a qualified independent executive coach. In addition he is a non-executive director and a trustee of a large multi academy trust whose intake are among the most deprived areas of the UK.

Rachel Hannan

Angel Investor

Rachel started with a successful career with one of the big 4 accountancy firms, working in tax, corporate finance and consulting. In late 2002 she co-founded a leadership and executive search consultancy that became a multi-million market leader in under 8 years, before her successful exit in 2010. Since then she has been instrumental in the success of a range of high growth businesses as an active Angel Investor, Chairman, Non-Executive Director and Board advisor.
